TWHSA Affiliated Shows receive-

  • Full horse inspection services that ensure that each exhibitor is in full compliance with Horse Protection Act and that protect show management from liability with regard to the Horse Protection Act.

  • A copy of the well-organized TWHSA rulebook.

  • Consultation assistance provided by experienced show managers with regard to show preparations

  • Class Sheets, Entry forms, Judge’s Cards and, in some areas, show software to automate the show office providing ease with billing and reporting of class results during and after the show

  •  Personal Website for each affiliate providing all show information, including showbill downloads, contacts, directions, etc.

  •  Free show promotion on the TWHSA website as well as at all TWHSA shows

  •  Respected and Professional judging services from a panel of carefully selected experienced licensed judges

  •  Confidence that all show fees are used to support and promote sound horse shows

  •  Involvement with an affiliation organization that will value the input of show managers

  •  Freedom from collecting amateur card and membership fees for the affiliating organization

  •  Class results from at TWHSA shows will be:

  •  Recognized in a TWHSA High Point Program for all exhibitors showing in TWHSA shows.

  •  Recognized in the TWHBEA IPEDs system which will be recorded in the permanent record of each horse

  •  Eligible to be used in the WHOA Register of Merit and the TWHBEA Versatility Programs

  •  Included in WHOA National High Point Awards for WHOA members (* this item is not final)

Affiliation Fees

 

Affiliation fees were designed in such a way that shows could incorporate affiliation charges into their show bill and are based mainly on the attendance of the show.  The goal of TWHSA is to allow shows to be profitable and therefore continue for years to come.

 

Table of Fees

$30 Affiliation fee 

$5 per horse per day 

$1 per entry 

DQP fees $150/day plus expenses

 

 

Affiliation Requirements

 

By affiliating with the TWHSA, show management agrees to:

 

Prior to the show-

  • Submit an affiliation application and a showbill  with the $30 affiliation charge to the TWHSA.

  • Judge – Make arrangements with the TWHSA judge of their choice

At the show-

  • Abide by the rules of the TWHSA, the HPC, and the Horse Protection Act

  • Provide an adequate space for the DQP’s for inspection services

  • Provide a space for TWHSA literature/Event calendars

  • Promote upcoming TWHSA Events and dates during the course of the show

  • Compensate DQP’s for their services at a rate of $150/day plus travel and room expenses

 

Within 14 days after the close of the show-

  • Pay all affiliation fees in a timely manner, no more than 14 days after the close of the show

  • Submit a show manager’s report at the time of payment of affiliation fees

  • Submit a copy of all class sheets or digital file to the TWHSA, complete with name of horse, Registration#, owner, owner’s address, exhibitor, trainer, if applicable, and placement of entries.

To begin the affiliation process, simply download or print and submit the following affiliation form to TWHSA at Tennessee Walking Horse Shows of America, PO Box 238, Reynoldsburg, OH, 43068.  Please include your $30 affiliation fee payable to TWHSA and a copy of your showbill.  Thank you for considering the TWHSA.
